## Overview

You can integrate your [Smile.io](https://smile.io/) loyalty program with Novel to show points on your brand's wallet pass and to boost loyalty redemptions.&#x20;

To get started, you'll want to get your Private API Key from the Smile app. You can find it under: <mark style="color:purple;">**Settings -> Platform -> Show More**</mark>

In Novel, navigate to <mark style="color:purple;">**Integrations -> Smile.**</mark> Enter your Private API Key, click save, and you're done!

Customer points balances will start to sync for existing pass holders. For any new pass holders, their Smile balance will be pulled in and shown on the pass. Any welcome and referral bonuses you set in Novel will automatically be synced in Smile. Any welcome bonuses you set in Novel will be applied on top of the welcome bonus in Smile for new loyalty customers.&#x20;
